Seminole Science Charter School (SSCS) recently held a fundraiser to support former student Grayson Zrelak on his road to recovery after being hit by a car on the way to work. At SSCS’s latest International Night, students and their families were encouraged to donate to the cause while voting for their favorite country represented that night. SSCS Students Compete in Three-Day VEX Robotics Competition
Seminole Science Charter School’s (SSCS) VEX Robotics teams recently competed in the three-day, Fun in the Sun Signature VIQRC event at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. This was the largest VEX event in Florida, bringing in over 100 robotics teams from around the United States and Canada to compete. Seminole Science Charter School raises $23K for its students
Seminole Science Charter School (SSCS) hosted its annual Stingray Fun Run. Over 500 students participated, and 295 students pledged donations – raising a total of $23,530 for the school, which will be used to build a green space for a new field and playground. SSCS is devoted to enriching the lives of students with the integration of STEM curriculum, providing a diverse student population with a well-rounded educational experience. Seminole Science Charter School Students Investigate an Owl’s Diet
In a recent STEM Buddy project, first graders from Seminole Science Charter School (SSCS) were led by sixth graders in dissecting owl pellets to learn how to analyze evidence and form conclusions. The students examined the skulls and bones found in the pellets – which are undigested parts of an owl's food – and compared them to animal diagrams to understand what kind of prey the owl had consumed.
